My name is Melania Leanza.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP.
I provide Counselling - Psychotherapy and Couple Therapy, either online or face-to-face.
I can offer sessions in English and Italian.
Talking about what is troubling you in a safe and non-judgmental space could help you move forwards in your life.
Through exploration, you can develop a sense of self-awareness and create a connection between your thoughts and your behaviour. This understanding will enable you to move ahead in your life and to take ‘that difficult first step onwards’.

Our Work Together
Seeking out therapy is a big step to take. It requires you to be open about personal matters which may make you feel vulnerable. I believe this is a sign of resilience - human beings have a huge amount of strength and braveness!
Discussing difficult subjects can at times be painful. For this reason, my work is based on a therapeutic relationship and a nurturing approach. This is based on a strong foundation of mutual trust, where you can feel understood, and valued to support you throughout your ‘therapeutic journey’.
I practise in a supportive and non-judgemental environment which facilitates the exploration of unspoken and painful thoughts. Whatever you are experiencing - loss, depression, anxiety, post-pandemic related issues – counselling can offer you the chance to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
I consider you to be the expert in the relationship, you'll show me the way you think and behave, which will enable me to understand your world. This therapeutic process promotes ‘change’ and together we can set new goals and develop new strategies to help you to feel better in your everyday life.
I consider my approach to be friendly and warm, but I also like to apply a gentle but direct form of communication which will help you to move forward with your therapeutic treatment.
It is not uncommon to feel hurt, lost, or overpowered.
Together we can comprehend the nature of what is troubling you and move forwards.
